Applications:  You can request an application to be mailed to you by filling out and mailing the Application Request Form above along with the $50.00 fee.  Or you can also pick one up at the JATC Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - Noon or 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

Requirements:  Below are the individual requirements for each different classification.

Interviews: Interviews will be scheduled for those who have successfully met all the requirements.

School:  Daytime school for the Construction apprenticeship is 25 days per year for a total of 200 hours.  Apprentices go to school 1 day per week, 3 months on, 3 months off.  Low Voltage & Residential apprentices go to school September through May, 1 night per week for 4 hours & some Saturdays.

Books & Tuition:  Approximately $1000 - $1300 per year and you do receive college credit through Pierce College.

Dues:  Working dues are $25.00 per month.  Once you have completed the first year and are initiated into the Union, your dues will be 1½% of your gross pay.

Apprenticeship combines classroom studies with on-the-job training under the supervision of a journey level craft person or trade professional. Apprenticeship programs are a proven success.  They offer key benefits not normally found in other education and job training programs.
